i’m sharing my favorite chinese vegetable recipe (i’m using baby bok choy here, you can use kai lan, choy sum, or other chinese green veggies) with my own secret method:P
ingredients:
5 bunch of baby bok choy, cut to bite size
a cup of shitakee mushroom, slice thinly
3 clove of garlic, mince them
5 slice of ginger, mince them
2 tablespoon of sesame oil
a pinch of salt
a pinch of pepper/black pepper
1 teaspoon of corn starch, mixed with a cup of water
1 tablespoon of vegetarian oyster sauce
methods:
1. steam the baby bok choy in a bowl for 5 minutes. take it out and arrange them in the serving plate.
2. heat the sesame oil, put the garlic and ginger, then put in the mushroom. stir them slowly while putting in the oyster sauce. mixed it with the corn starch. season them with salt and pepper. wait until boil, add more water if necessary to thicken them slowly.
3. pour them hot on the arrange baby bok choy, enjoy!:)
ps: you can add some small square cut tofu when putting in the mushroom. i like steaming veggies in a short time, it makes them still crisp:D
